Infrastructure and environment at the office; team strength
The main office is a small room within the personal residence of Ma’am Kavita Shrivastava who single handedly runs the Jaipur extension of PUCL. However, the interns usually gathered at a center and thereafter dispersed according to the task assigned.
Field works, surveys, attending seminars, compiling reports, court visits, prison visits etc
Overall experience; pros & cons
Great learning, provides a new perspective towards social issues and the ground level working mechanism of the governmental departments. Provides with a different angle to the Human Rights issue Pros: great learning experience, trains you to work in strenuous situations, helps you create a more politically based opinion, great platform to meet new and diverse people Cons: no fixed working hours, no leaves granted
