First day experience

Initial introduction about the firm. I was allotted a task with the litigation team within a couple of hours on the very first day. I stayed beyond 6 P.M. on the first day itself due to the work.

Infrastructure and environment at the office; team strength

2 floors; the environment among the Associates and Interns is quite amicable; almost 30 Associates and 4 Partners in the Delhi office

Main task

I was given an extensive research on the issue of abandonment of construction projects on the first day itself. A lot of work relating to arbitration was also provided to me.

Overall experience; pros & cons

Biggest pro for me, since i am in my second year, was that the interns are not distinguished and handed out tasks on the basis of the year of college they’re in. The quality of corporate work was extensive. Biggest con — erratic work schedule; one might even be asked to stay till 10-10:30 P.M. or could even leave before 6 P.M. due to lack of work

Several practical aspects with regard to arbitration laws

How likely are you willing to recommend someone to intern there?

I would definitely advise people to intern at Phoenix Legal. The quality of work is extensive. For people wanting to go into corporate law, it’d be better if they join in their 4th year.
